He began his collegiate career at the University of Washington in 2019. As a freshman, he played in eight games, recording seven receptions for 168 yards and two touchdowns before a foot injury cut his season short. In the COVID-19-shortened 2020 season, Nacua appeared in three games, amassing nine catches for 151 yards and one touchdown.
Seeking a change, he transferred to Brigham Young University (BYU) in 2021, joining his brother Samson. At BYU, Nacua’s impact was immediate; he led the team with 43 receptions for 805 yards and six touchdowns in his first season. His senior year in 2022 saw him continue to excel, contributing 48 receptions for 625 yards and five touchdowns, along with five rushing touchdowns.
